Volatile
in price trend for month end
::
Slightly inventory adjustment.
Although open market
doesn't expect the month-end dumping from DRAM companies, some listed distributors
and channels have to slightly adjust their inventory level to cash in for the
first-half year finance report. Therefore, spot market prices might be volatile
for certain deals during this week. Still, traders are in no rush to sell as
optimistically on July pricing; most DRAM makers have no pressure on sales revenue
issue due to the destining loses in first-half year. Even with some prices correction,
the moving average prices still look positive in flat or slightly up for this
week.

European market is warm up
Unlike US market
is tight tailing after active Asian market; European market was pretty quiet
for past few weeks, but market sentiment seems turning back from this week.
European marketers are searching for 400MHz (or 333MHz at least), as European
are used to be pioneers in technology adopting, 266MHz product lines are hard
to make a move in Europe's clone market.
::
China market- dancing with rest of Asia market.
China market is known
as price sensitive market, however the demanding on product spec. is never asking
for second grade (That's why there are so many fake products flooding in China
market). China marketers are turning more active recently, although the transaction
volumes remain conservative and caution on volatile prices situation for the
month end. The picking up demand for upcoming peak summer vacation season does
encourage the per-stock at lower price.

Most wanted list - SO-DIMM and 400MHz.
Still, most DRAM
makers claim the tightening allocation on 256MB SO-DIMM, 400MHz DIMM and 400MHz
chip. As Notebook shipment is expecting to grow over 20% Q/Q (3rd quarter/ 2nd
quarter) from OEM's customers' current pre-forecasting, it creates the great
outlook for SO-DIMM demand. No matter it's SO-DIMM or 400MHz product line, be
caution on close checking the overbooking situation.
