DDR 256Mb prices have been volatile since early July - prices rose by 43% from $4.87 (July 1) to $6.96 (July 30th). On July 18th, prices were at their highest at $7.94. DDR prices crossed over SDRAM prices on June 14th, and the maximum premium came close to $3 ($2.985) on July 19th. Average prices (from July 1st to July 30th) for DDR is $6.71;for SDRAM is $4.83. The average premium from July 1 to July 30 was $1.88.
