Good outlooks of price trend from DRAM makers

Low inventory at DRAM Makers

As we talking to most of DRAM Makers, they claimed that inventory level is almost all below one month right now. Some are just around 2 weeks. Overall, we do believe the inventory level is quite health in DRAM makers. We also checking the inventory from PC OEM sides, they are also in low inventory status. Most of traders just begin to build up the safety inventory for trading, channels inventory are also OK. Where goes those excess inventories which DRAM industry should carry through from Q1, Q2 to Q3? Although it's hard to trace all the evidences well, we do believe some module makers have capability and ability to take those inventories for producing their own brand module and trading those inventories on the market while market is back to good.

PC OEM is coming back?

Although we have not received the good messages from Motherboard and PC side that their orders are increase lots, we do all hear from DRAM Makers receiving more and more orders confirming by those PC OEM or System companies. Are those orders all for preparing the new shipments or just refilling the inventory? We couldn't match the number from shipment of Motherboard and PC yet. But somehow the tightening up on DDR allocation is happening right now.

Take a short break before going further.

Past few days, DRAM price had taken the rapid raising rate. Now, before going further it has to take a short break. This week, the price probably will stay a little bit flat around current price level and try to rise up again.

Contract Price look up in 2H of July.

Most of DRAM makers are considering to raising the 2H contract price. Based on current spot market situation, it might be able to raise contract price in second half of July.
