Price warms up as major suppliers stand strong at price level and channels follow. Major suppliers assume that OEM's orders should come back to normal season pattern for preparing the back to school season; therefore they have confidence in holding price. Marketers feel stable at current price level for this week.

Quarter end and 1/2 year end for Taiwanese companies

Next week, the last week of the 2nd quarter end and 1/2 year end for all Taiwanese companies, probably will bring some price pressure if they do need to make a good revenue report for accounting. Price trend for next week is still uncertain.

Price crosses over, premium dismisses

Monthly output of 128Mb and 256Mb had already crossover at May; price crossover for 128Mb and 256Mb can be foreseeable sooner or later as their price gap has being narrowed down recently. Once the price and output finishes the migration process, mainstream item will focus on 256Mb products. Premium of 256Mb will dismiss soon.
