End
of May, end of Price?
Short-term rebound
has gone. Coming real challenge of when it's the real bottom?
Spot
price will drop down again.
Last week, Spot
enjoyed quite short term of rebound. Actually it seemed like just three days
rebounding from May 13th (128SDRAM Avg. $2.06 ) to May 15th (128SDRAM Avg.
$2.30) which was 11% rising. After May 16th, it is just kinda of keeping slowly
down. The turn point has not come yet. June's spot probably keeps the way
down a little bit.
Contract
has down to narrow the gap with Spot.
Contract price
has been negotiating again and again; it's almost not once at two weeks. Some
customers can negotiate once a week depending on their volume. However, they
are just trying to narrow the premium between contract and spot. June's contract?
Well, still look downward a little bit, unless there are some good signs for
spot to rise up or really well control of DRAM makers to hold the contract
price tight.
i845D's
solution is on the way for cleaning up inventory
Crossing checking
the food chain of DRAM, the i845D chipsets are on the way to clean inventory
from channels. New chipset i845G will finally show better responses after
channels cleaning up the old models of chipsets and begin to order some new
models. Combination with i845D, also coming out the graphic card and the motherboard
for those "old" solutions are kinda of on sale to clean up the house
inventory.
i845G seems not
really exciting for the market, probably the inventory for i845D is still
quite high or the performance vs. price is not that attractive to the market.
Especially i845D's solution is kinda on sale? Though, some of channels convince
they are not really on sale for graphic and i845D because with the supporting
Motherboard. Generally, the price for those solutions seems more and more
attractive these days.
