【Market View】Weak PC demand for Q4 2000 keeps DRAM price remaining low in this month.

Although we observed motherboard's shipment is slight increasing in this month, rate of slight increasing demanding for DRAM is relatively low than improving capability of 1.75 um and 1.8 um Good Die productivity. Low-end PC market remains weak as evidenced by the 11% QoQ decline in Q2 2000. PC demand depressed by PC channel inventory will stunt Q4 2000 DRAM prices rebound. Rising oil prices also dent consumer confidence and slowdown in home PC market.
