According to DRAMeXchange, the research department of Trendforce Corp., DDR3 2GB contract price has declined 46% from the peak US$46.5 in 1H10 to the level of US$40 in 1H’Sep, below US$30 in 2H’Oct. and finally at US$25 in 1H’Nov.

Most NB ODM vendors just released their October NB shipment recently. According to DRAMeXchange, overall Oct. NB shipment decline 5.7% MoM to 17.3M. As for the 4Q10 outlook.

According to DRAMeXchange, the research division of Trendforce, despite of 15% QoQ output growth in 3Q10, DRAM industry recorded US$10.8B, which is merely 3.4% QoQ growth compared to US$10.4B in 2Q10 given the further 3Q10 contract price decline.

According to DRAMeXchange, the research department of Trendforce, 2H’Oct. contract price indicated record high decline within a year that DDR3 2GB “Average” contract price dropped 14.3% to US$27 from US$31.5 while “Low” contract price even declined 15.2% to US$26.

NAND Flash vendors have put strong expectation in SSD (Solid-State Drive) since the unit consumption is several times higher than embedded products as well as memory card and UFD. That is, SSD has great potential in terms of NAND Flash consumption.

1H’Oct. NAND Flash “average” contract price show the 3%-5% partially decline and partially stable. Even though we have seen better-than-expectation China holidays sales, yet the memory card and UFD makers continue working hard on lowering inventory level and wait for inventory re-stock movement for year-end sales in late October.

According to DRAMeXchange, the research dept. of Trendforce, 1H’Oct contract price dropped 6%-9% while DDR3 2GB contract “High” decline to US$33 from US$35 mainly for Korean vendors.
