Could you make a brief introduction of your current product mix and its future development?
Simmtronics Semiconductors Ltd. is one of the leading manufacturers for memory modules, motherboards, netbooks sand VGA cards, with 3 manufacturing facilities globally and sales offices in 11 countries –Singapore, India, UAE, UK, USA, Thailand, etc.
Having started the memory module business in 1990, our expertise in the memory business extends to nearly two decades. All Simmtronics memory modules are lifetime warranted, ISO 9001 certified, and competitively priced. Simmtronics has over 6000 different memory modules for Desktops, Laptops/ Notebooks, and Servers, which are 100% compatible with Acer, Compaq, HP, IBM, Intel, etc.

Could you talk about your marketing plan of DDR3 products? When do you think DDR3 will become the mainstream in the market?
We are very aggressive on DDR3.In our opinion, DDR3 will take off in Q2-2010. However, DDR2 would continue to be the mainstream of the memory modules through the full year 2010. We use Hynix / Samsung / Micron Chips for all our modules.
As the biggest chipmaker in India, which market does your company focus on now?
Simmtronics is focusing on the netbook market. In Jan 2010, Simmtronics has established collaborations with IBM by loading the IBM Lotus Software on SimmBooks which are sold globally. IBM is going to be supporting Simmtronics for the same.
In addition to its strategies on the Simmbook market, Simmtronics is also aggressively targeting the motherboard market. To meet its global demand, Simmtronics has setup a facility with manufacturing capacity of 100,000 motherboards per month.
Could you tell me the current situation of your distribution channel and its future development?
Simmtronics is a global company, with more than 75% market share in India, UAE and over 30 distributors worldwide. Simmtronics supplies to the leading Computer Manufacturers and have a base of over 20 OEMs which include the top names in the IT industry - HP, IBM, Lenovo, LG, Samsung, Acer, PCS, Zenith, Apple, etc.
What is the strength of your products compared to similar ones from other companies?

In addition, we have set up one of the largest motherboard plant in India. With excellent response for SimmBooks, launched in 2009, we will be expanding our portable computing product range by introducing laptops and notebooks.
Could you tell us about the sale of your memory products in 2009?
Memory business has been our focus since 1990, and we have been growing at a steady rate of 25% per year.
Could you tell me about your business strategy and operation targets of the 4th quarter and 2010?
We will be focusing on motherboards and SimmBooks – we have set up a large motherboard manufacturing facility with capacity of 100k motherboards per month in 2009. Currently, only 30% of the facility is utilized. We see a big future ahead of us. SimmBooks, our major product line, are being sold globally. In Q2-2010, we plan to start the manufacturing of laptops and PCs.
It is reported that PC replacement effect will come next year, what is your opinion?
Although global PC penetration is low, PCs can never be replaced completely. However, PC volumes will reduce as laptops and netbooks eat into their market share.
