SDRAM Spot price probably can't hold by channels.

As our information show us that channel-traders begin to ship SDRAM at lower price (around 1.2 for 128Mb SDRAM) to let go of their inventory. Most of channel-traders don't take too positive on SDRAM price. On the other hand, the major DRAM makers are still keeping the price at range ($1.3 ~$1.5).

DDR Price still looks good for a while

Although every DRAM companies are ramping up the DDR output right now, almost double the output month on month. But DDR market is so hot right now, seems like their output's speed can't catch up the demand from buyers side? Price is keeping up and up. Our source shows us that some big Module houses are the major buyers; channels are also chasing the DDR product for making some profit in short term. It is really a good thing to see the price back to reasonable price level (around total cost level). But we are still very caution about this pre-stock buying for Intel's 845i for DDR solution will end soon or later. So, be careful about the inventory you have on hands.

Rambus Price probably begins to slide down

While DDR market is heating up, Rambus market begins to cool down. Demand for Rambus became weaker and weaker. Niche market hasn't many quantities to support the price up right now. Samsung and Toshiba keep the same output on Nov. and Dec. The total for Rambus worldwide output estimate 13.6 million for 128Mb.

Finally Contract price set down

As our prediction, the price fell into the range around 1.2 to 1.4 for 128Mb SDRAM. From our interview with those DRAM companies, they said that it's hard to convince the customers to rise the contract just for one month price raise up. They said customers had to make sure the trend was definitely on upside for at least 2 months, then contract price will begin to follow up.
