One of major reasons is panic selling pressure from the traders. Marketers still don't forecast bright for rest of Oct. Neither does sellers' market for over one month stock on distributors' storehouse and manufactories. It's Buyer's Market right now. Buyers are testing the price as low as possible. Price probably drops under $4.5 for 64MB per chip within this week.
