【Market View】Premium between DDR and SDRAM has gone.

Premium between DDR and SDRAM has gone.

Spot premium begins at wide and now it's no gap.

Tracing back to the early stage of DDR's premium, as a new product with the little quantity at market; DDR did enjoy a quite good premium at beginning. Following the typical new product life cycle combines with the main stream product beginning to switch from SDRAM to DDR, the premium has gone from March 2002.

Contract has shorter premium period than spot.

Since year 2002, there were more and more contract based orders on DDR. The migration from SDRAM to DDR began to take the steps. DDR product had become one of major products; it just enjoyed 2 months of premium. The price right now is almost no difference between DDR and SDRAM.
